India-Italy Strategic Partnership Gets Boost
During the PM Modi Italy Visit, both leaders outlined a roadmap to enhance cooperation in trade, technology, energy, space, and security. In a joint op-ed, PM Modi and PM Meloni emphasised building an “Indo-Mediterranean” corridor and pushing bilateral trade to €20 billion by 2029.
The Italian visit comes after PM Modi’s successful engagements in Norway as part of the India-Nordic Summit.

PM Modi Gifts Melody Chocolates to PM Meloni
In a warm gesture, PM Modi presented ‘Melody’ chocolates to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. He also shared paintings of Varanasi (Kashi) gifted by Italian artist Giampaolo Tomassetti, calling it a “glimpse of Kashi in Rome”.
Indian artistes welcomed PM Modi with a performance of the classical raga Hamsadhwani.
