He added that the response mainly comes from Gen Z and young people who feel ignored by mainstream political parties. “People are frustrated. No party has done anything substantial for the youth in the last few years,” Dipke said.

Why is Cockroach Janta Party Trending?

The campaign cleverly used humor to tap into the anger and disillusionment among unemployed and frustrated youth. Many see it as a satirical protest against the current political system. Prominent lawyers and academicians have also extended support to the movement.

Dipke mentioned that he is now under pressure from thousands of messages and is planning to return to India soon to decide the next steps. He is also considering a survey to understand what supporters want from this platform.

The Cockroach Janta Party has also received attention from TMC politicians and other public figures. Dipke clarified that it is an open platform and anyone can join.

This viral campaign highlights the power of social media and how humour can quickly turn into a larger conversation about youth aspirations and political frustration in India.
