Editorial Policy

How Nexus News Alert sources, verifies, writes, and corrects the news we publish.

Effective Date: 1 January 2024 Last Updated: 13 March 2026 Applicable To: nexusnewsalert.com

At Nexus News Alert ("we," "our," or "us"), editorial integrity guides everything we publish across nexusnewsalert.com. This Editorial Policy explains the standards, processes, and principles our editorial team follows to keep our reporting accurate, fair, and independent.

Our Commitment

We publish news that is accurate, verified, and clearly separated from opinion, sponsored content, and advertising.

1. Our Editorial Mission

Nexus News Alert exists to deliver timely, accurate, and balanced news coverage across World, India, Sports, Travel, Health, Politics, Technology, and Entertainment. Our editorial team is committed to:

  • Accuracy over speed — we verify before we publish
  • Fairness and balance in reporting multiple perspectives
  • Transparency about sources, sponsorships, and corrections
  • Independence from advertisers, sponsors, and outside influence

2. Sourcing & Verification

2.1 Primary Sources

Wherever possible, our reporters rely on primary sources — official statements, government releases, press conferences, court documents, and verified public data.

2.2 Secondary Sources & Wire Services

When primary sourcing is not available, we may reference established wire services and credible news organisations, always with clear attribution to the original reporting outlet.

2.3 Anonymous Sources

Anonymous sources are used sparingly and only when the information is of significant public interest and cannot be obtained on the record. At least one editor is made aware of the source's identity before publication.

3. Fact-Checking Standards

  • Every article is reviewed by at least one editor before publishing
  • Statistics, quotes, and figures are cross-checked against original sources
  • Breaking news is labelled as "Developing" until fully verified
  • Speculation, rumour, or unverified claims are never presented as fact
Developing Stories

Articles tagged "Developing" may be updated as new facts are confirmed. We note the time of each significant update.

4. Author Attribution & Bylines

All original reporting carries a byline identifying the author. Where content is sourced from wire services or contributors, this is clearly disclosed at the top or bottom of the article. Editorial staff biographies are available on our About page.

5. Corrections & Retractions

We take factual errors seriously and correct them promptly and transparently.

  • Minor corrections (typos, misspellings) are fixed without a formal note
  • Substantive corrections (factual errors, misattributed quotes) are marked with a visible correction notice and timestamp at the bottom of the article
  • Retractions are issued when an article is found to be fundamentally inaccurate or unverifiable, with a clear explanation replacing the original claim

To report an error, email editorial@nexusnewsalert.com with the article link and details of the issue.

6. Editorial Independence & Advertising

Our newsroom operates independently of our advertising and sales departments. Advertisers and sponsors have no influence over editorial content, story selection, or coverage decisions.

  • Sponsored or promotional content is clearly labelled "Sponsored" or "Advertisement"
  • Google AdSense and other ad placements are visually distinct from editorial articles
  • No advertiser is granted editorial approval or preview rights over news content

7. Use of AI Tools in Reporting

Nexus News Alert may use AI-assisted tools to support tasks such as summarisation, headline suggestions, or research assistance. All AI-assisted content is reviewed and edited by human editorial staff before publication, and factual claims are independently verified.

Human Oversight

No article is published based solely on AI-generated output without editorial review and fact verification.

8. Comments & Reader Submissions

We welcome reader engagement through comments and tips. Reader comments are moderated and may be removed if they contain hate speech, harassment, spam, or misinformation. Reader-submitted tips are independently verified before any related coverage is published.

9. Conflicts of Interest

Editorial staff are required to disclose any personal, financial, or professional relationships that could reasonably be seen to influence their reporting. Where a potential conflict exists, the story is reassigned or the conflict is disclosed to readers.
